Mary Mara Dies In Apparent Drowning: ‘Nash Bridges’, ‘ER’, ‘Law & Order: SVU’ Actor Was 61

 suffocated Sunday in the St. Lawrence River in Cape Vincent, NY, as per New York State Police. She was 61.

 A State Police public statement says Mara was found in the stream Sunday morning by officers and Cape Vincent Fire and Ambulance following a report of a potential suffocating

 A starter examination demonstrates she suffocated while swimming in the stream.

 Police said there was no sign of treachery and that a post-mortem will be led to decide an authority reason for death. The examination is proceeding

 A family representative said Mara was remaining at the late spring home of her sister,

 Martha Mara, of Syracuse. The property fronts the waterway outside the Village of Cape Vincent
